What's Happening

Our Daily Walk…. Blog

Today is Christmas day.   I am waiting for the family to gather in and Laura is up busy as she always is.  Some last minute cooking is on her mind this morning.  Jesus IS The Reason For The Season.  Let us never forget that.  May God bless each on on this special day

Now, you are not going to believe this….another spell in the hospital.  I got sick on  Sunday night at church…December  20th, and ended up spending three more days in the hospital.  It was not related to any of my previous problems.  They finally concluded I had a kidney stone and had actually passed it before I arrived at the hospitall   Anyway, I was plenty sick there for a couple of days…smile.  I am all better now, but still  am not back up to full steam just quite yet.  Those kidney stones are rough company….smile.   this is just a speed bump in the road.  But, it was a rough speed bump and I am glad to get past it.  Thank you Jesus.  I know it was for my good, but I can’t always see how at the time it happens.  I did get an opportunity to talk to a few of the nurses about Jesus.  The hospital stay made that possible.

I just got back home a couple hours ago ( Saturday December 12th., from having a pacemaker implanted    All went well.  I am just a little sore.but not really bad.   They seemed to think the pacemaker and some medication would solve my heart rhythm problems.     There seems to be no lingering stroke effects.  I will need to to avoid lifting for a while, but should be able to resume preaching  very soon, at least by Christmas

Thanks again for caring.

In Christ,

Tomorrow, Friday, December 11th.  Is scheduled to be pacemaker day for me.  Everyone tells me I will be glad I got one.  They say I should feel much stronger and better.   Truth is, I feel pretty good and strong now.      But, the doctors tell me I need it to take care of my heart.   They say the rhythm problems will damage my heart over the long run if not properly controlled.

I am leaving it all in the hands of my God.  The procedure should be rather minor, requiring only an overnight stay in the hospital    But anything big enough to worry about is big enough to pray about.

Almost back to full speed now.   I seem to be over the stroke with no sign of any lasting problems.   I doubt you could tell I ever had one….Thank God.     The doctors have been working with the heart rhythm problem that caused the stroke in the first place.     I am to have a pacemaker in the next few days.  The doctors tell me I will be ready to go then as if I never had a problem at all.  they say I should be able to maintain as heavy a preaching schedule as I care to carry.  I pray that God will send me lots of preaching.  I have no interest in cutting back.  I would prefer to pick up the pace a little if possible.  I don’t want even one more revival than God wants me to have.  But, I want a full load if that pleases Him.  Keep praying for us.   Praise be to My lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We will be changing this page often as we keep you posted on the work God is doing in us and with us. The top items will always be the latest entries.

Today,  We cleared up some details concerning a Bible Conference in November.  We look forward to the blessing that will be ours.

This coming Sunday  (Nov. 1st), we start a meeting at Pine Haven in Jamestown.  We look forward to the meeting, but the drive will be long and hard.  Keep us in your prayers as we travel.   We ran into some problems at Pine Haven ended up having a stroke and spending some time in the hospital.  Full recovery is expected.  I should be back on the revival trail soon.  Don’t forget me when you pray and don’t hesitate to call me about preaching.

Great, great time with old friends at Peyton Creek.  God reached down and blessed us once again.  Praise His Name.

What a great time we had at the Bible Conference at Jackson Southside  Baptist church.  Great preaching and singing were sent by the Lord.  They even gave me an opportunity to preach.  I was very nervous at first, knowing what powerful proclaimers of the Word I was preaching in the presence of.   After the first few words, God sent a calm over me and I had a great freedom to proclaim the Word Of God.   After the conference, I had a couple of invitations to preach at other meetings.  Praise God.

One came for baptism at Allons Baptist Church (Sunday, October 11th.)

One profession of faith at Providence tonight (Friday Oct. 9th.)

All is well with the Seber family.  Laura and I are in good health and seem to be going strong.  We thank God for that.

What a blessing the revival at Indian Creek turned out to be.  The Spirit Of God fell on the service Tuesday night, and even more so on Wednesday night.  Eleven people professed faith in Jesus, with many others making commitments, giving testimonies, or expressing prayer needs.  It’s those type meetings that help keep us going.  Praise God.

This October and November is shaping up to be very, very, busy.  See our schedule on the main page.

God is answering prayers.  Calls are coming in well now for revivals and preaching engagements.  Pray for us often. Please pray for us each day.  We need more revivals for 2010.  God will provide.
